Gettysburg National Cemetery

Friday December 4, 2009

Volunteers will meet in the parking lot of Giant Food on Natural Springs Rd ( Rain or Shine) in Gettysburg to attach donor labels at 8:00 AM on Friday morning and then tie on the red bows before we place the wreaths in the Soldiers National Cemetery Taneytown Road entrance at 1300 hrs / 1:00PM.

2009 Fund Raising Status;

Fund raising this year as with most is going to be a race to the finish line. Unfortunately his years expansion to Annapolis National Cemetery has been canceled. We will be fortunate to achieve the level necessary to fund the placement at Quantico and Gettysburg, Our original goal was $24,000 but that has been adjusted to $18,500 necessary to place wreaths in Quantico and Gettysburg. Currently the fund has a balamce of $13,000 with just over a month to go.
